Clay County Routing Help Needed

Postby LicketySplat on Thu Aug 09, 2007 10:15 pm

Okay, I tried to swipe the link TRoy posted earlier, but since I'm a noob on this board the software won't let me post URLs. Take a look at the MapQuest map linked in his message "Unexplored."

Just south of the intersection of SR16 and I-79 there's a little town called Ivydale, and the map shows a road that runs across all the way to SR20 near Cowan.

It's Clay County Rd. 46 (Ivydale Rd.), Clay County Rd. 11 (which I think I've been on before but not 100% sure), then SR82.

Anybody know these roads (particularly the county roads)? Okay for someone with short legs on a 600 loaded for touring? CR46 makes me especially nervous since it's not on the AAA map.

Thanks! :D [/url]

:welcome

Not sure about RT11 but knowing the area I wouldn't be hoping for a twisty haven but it might turn into a gem.

RT82 from Birch River to Cowen is a normal 2lane road maybe with some bad spots.
