Hello from Clintonville

Postby Philster on Mon Jan 28, 2008 9:10 pm

Hello all,
Live 14m west of Lewisburg. Bought an 04 750 Kat off ebay last summer. Brother picked it up in GA for me. Rode it to work as much as weather allowed and then some. Gets pretty foggy in mornings so usually take the interstate (higher). Ride RT 60 home in the evenings. I replaced dunlaps with metzlers and felt like I got a new bike. Hope to break away and do some ridin this year with ya'll.

Welcome and I'm sure we'll cross paths sometime, we ride 60 through Rainelle and Lewisburg often.

:welcome Hey Philster, glad to have another rider on board. You'll find this is a great group with which to be acquainted. Its a very diverse bunch. Jeff and Jamie are great riders who know most of the good roads to ride---and then there is me.

Anyway, look forward to a ride or two this year.

Welcome to the board :thumbsup

I actually know where Clintonville is...took a pic of the sign one time. I like to go through that area on my way to the twisty eastern parts.

Thanks for the replies.
I went to Roanoke the other day and went by 311 at the 64E Crows exit at VA state line. This would be a nice ride. Crossed 3 different mountains. Also there is a resturant at Paint Bank that serves buffaloe.
Have any of you had a bike on this road? Really got my heart to pumpin just thinking about it. Philster

we go through that way all the time and have been for about 8 years now.... a deer ran in front of me on rt311 about 2 miles before paintbank in 2002.. it wasn't pretty.. lol
you can take rt18 from paint bank north up to covington then 220 north out of covington " there's a water fall about 90ft tall " falling springs " to rt39 west over to marlinton. great little loop...
there's also a covered bridge on rt60 just before you go into covington. just get off of i64 onto rt60 just before you get to covington..
you will have to hook up with us. we will show you a bunch of great roads..
