Oct 13 Ride

Postby gsxrjeffro on Sat Oct 13, 2007 8:53 pm

WOW. I HAVE TO START THIS WITH A BALD EAGLE SPOTTING NEAR THE HOMESTED.. I was riding on rt220 just north of the homestead resort and looked up to see some vultures circling. but one of them had a white head and white tail yes it was a bald eagle, i stopped to get the cam out but it was too late. i was ticked and happy at the same time.
now the rest of the ride my first stop today was off the beaten path to take some pics of a small covered bridge. it was located between greenville and union on a one lane cowpath.. lol

Jeff,

Nice pics! From what I've heard from our environmental guys and the state wildlife folks we may get to have more of those bald eagle sightings than in the past. Its still exciting to see those birds---really big! Super diversity on your trip (bridges, birds, vistas, and falls), sorry I couldn't make it, the weather was great.

Hope to ride with you again soon.
