Suspension help

Postby toyotechwv on Wed May 30, 2007 2:28 pm

Wondering if I could get some volunteers to help me properly set my suspension sag on the SV. I've tried tweaking it as I've been riding the past few weeks but it still feels sloppy when cornering.

One of the best places to start.....after setting static sag is

http://www.sportrider.com/tech/suspension/

I had mine set pretty decent by just playing around and reading but I think my riding style has changed a little and I stiffened up the steering damper and now I can feel a bit of front end push at times.

Yeah I'm pretty familiar with that article. I've tweaked mine some but it still doesn't feel stable in corners, feels like the front end wants to slide out on me.

I've always set stock suspensions to the stiffest setting and let it go at that. They are usually weak and need new springs anyway.

Then again I usually can't tell the difference between stock and max settings so I'm not the best to give advice.
