mike, dave and i ride down to Shady Valley, TN to ride the SNAKE today. We took it at a slow pace. we were told the LOE's were bad ther this weekend. well we on'y seen one cop and that was when we first started up rt421. after riding the snake we rode up to backbone rock. it looked like rain so we didn't make it up to the harbor house to eat. so we had leftovers at a gas station in Damascus. we took rt58 back to rt16 all the way to tazewell. we took rt61 over to rt52. were we lost mike. i think it might have been my fault. i pointed up at the traffic on I77 and i think he might have thought i was telling him to go that way.. that was a big no-no. traffic was crawling all the way to the princeton exit. dave and i rode over east river mtn to 460.

This ride was the most fun I've had for a while, even counting the dead battery on the way back. (Note to self, batteries don't last forever ) I understand now why they call that stretch of road the snake. I'm just pleased I didn't get bitten! I must have had around 490 to 500 miles that day.

I have a new battery now, can we do it again???
